STETHS reach 65-2 at tea in reply to Manchester’s 117 in Headley Cup cricket
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) reached 65 for two at the tea break replying to Manchester High’s 117 at ISSA/GraceKennedy General Insurance Headley Cup cricket final at STETHS Sports Complex.
For STETHS, skipper and opener Tyriek Bryan has so far top scored with a 30-ball 37, including six fours and one six. Odane Binns is not out 15.
For Manchester High, off spinner Barrington Simpson has taken two for nine.
Earlier, defending champions Manchester High, who won the toss, were dismissed for 117 on a pitch exhibiting uneven bounce. Fast bowlers Delantae Scott (3-17) and Adrian Silvera (3-23) and spinner Bryan (2-31) combined to undermine the Manchester batting.
Tesfah Ward and Rhevon Morgan, who both made 21, top-scored for Manchester.
