Belize funeral home owner found guilty of having sex with a minor

BELMOPAN, Belize (CMC) — A 40-year-old owner of a funeral parlour in Belize will return to court on April 25 for sentencing after he was found guilty of having sexual intercourse with an 11-year-old child.

Patrick Robinson appeared before Justice Derick Sylvester, where he was convicted on three of five counts of having sex with an 11-year-old girl. He reportedly continued the act until she was 14.

Robinson has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until April 25, when his mitigation plea will be heard before sentencing.
