#Champs2025: KC’s Eshanee Porter leads boys’ Class 2 400m hurdles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kingston College’s Eshanee Porter surprised the field in the boys’ Class Two 400m hurdles after he led the qualifying round for the finals after running a personal best of 54.02 seconds at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.
Porter was ranked sixth best coming into the championships but set himself up for a medal in Friday’s final after a solid performance.
Denbigh High’s Kingsley Hanson was next best with 54.35 seconds while Calabar High’s Micah Willis, who was ranked third overall, was next with 54.36 seconds.
Gregory McFarlane of Excelsior High who ran 54.19 seconds, Roshaun Ramsay of St Jago High and Sean Palmer of Vere Technical who ran 54.77 seconds, are all in the medal hunt come Friday.
