Shake It to the Max, a viral hit single by Ghanaian-American singer Moliy has been dominating the airwaves as much as it has social media.

Moliy jetted to Jamaica earlier this month to shoot the music video for Shake It to the Max remix. According to the data garnered from YouTube charts, the audio version of the track amassed just under a million views in the last 28 days alone. In a recent interview with the Observer, Silent Addy and Disco Neil, the Miami-based producers responsible for the track, shared that they knew the single had hit potential the moment they finished recording.
“We definitely felt a vibe and energy and there were certain parts of the song where we said, ‘This had potential,’ ” said Disco Neil.
“We definitely manifested this song. It’s been years in the making and it did exactly what we’ve been wanting to do in the music, which is try to bridge the gap between Jamaica and the world… People like the song and so the only thing we need to do is get it to more ears,” Silent Addy added.
While Shake It to the Max occupies the #1 spot on YouTube charts, data for the past month show Masicka’s Whites, Jamal and Cash Code’s Ballandor rounding out the top three.
