A low-down dirty shame
Dear Editor,
This argument of the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) that it does not want to detail its policies for fear of them being hijacked/kidnapped by the governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is farcical and shows the true nature of this party.
It is clear, in my opinion, that the primary interest of the PNP is not the Jamaican people and making their lives better but one-upmanship of the JLP.
So what if its policy is implemented by the Government, particularly if it is a good one and will redound to the betterment of Jamaica and its people? What is this party’s end game? Is it to win an election and oppose the JLP at every turn or work for the well-being of the people it seeks to lead by contributing meaningful ideas for the governance of the country?
Keep your ideas, Mark Golding, they may never see the light of day. Let’s hope Jamaica won’t be any worse off for lack of them.
