Trinidad PM calls election for April 28

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – Trinidad & Tobago Prime Minister Stuart Young has declared April 28 as the date for the general election in the twin island republic.

Young, who was sworn into office on Monday, said that he has advised President Christine Kangaloo to dissolve Parliament as of midnight on Tuesday.

Nomination Day is April 4
