The Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) joined the International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations honouring five ‘Women of Action’ at its annual IWD Brunch & Awards 2025. The event, held at the Jamaica Pegasus on Sunday, March 9, was chaired by WLI PR, Fund-raising & Events Committee Co-Chair Kim Lee, and included opening blessings from Reverend Canon Grace Jervis, a welcome note from WLI Chair Grace Burnett, entertainment by Gem Myers, and the presentation of the WLI 21st Anniversary Honoree Awards to Andrea Cowan, Caron Chung, Donette Chin-Loy Chang, Dr Marlene Street-Forrest, and Bishop of Dover Right Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin.
