Houston-based reggae artiste AN-JU hosts album release party
Originally from the district of Pike located in Manchester, reggae artiste AN-JU has continued his musical pursuits, even after migrating to Houston, Texas a few years ago.
The singer has released his sophomore album titled Legacy, which features production work by Yung Merciinary Music and Soulfyah Productions.
On February 9, he hosted a release party for the eight-track project.
“The reception was great. The place was nicely set up and it was a party vibe from start to finish,” the former Decarteret College alumni told Observer Online on Tuesday.
“Legacy is an awesome production, and I am confident that with consistent promotion, it will be a success. The feedback that I am getting so far around it tells me that this is possible,” he stated.
The album, which features collaborations with Turbulence and Bascom X among others, is a true reflection of AN-JU’s life experiences.
“It is a whole experience, every track on the album is strategically sharing my journey with the listeners. The first track is to pull you, the second to hold you and then we carry you through a journey of ups and downs. But it will educate and inspire you also. I had fun producing this album, and you will see that in how I ended it on a high note on the last track,” AN-JU reasoned.
An architect by trade, AN-JU started his professional music career in 2019 with the single How Many, which was produced by Soul Fyah Productions.
