Truck grazes building after ‘brake failure’ in Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A section of Harbour Street in downtown Kingston was earlier blocked off after a truck grazed the Bearings and Accessories Limited building, opposite the Air Jamaica offices, in the commercial district.
The incident happened sometime after 3:00 pm.
Unconfirmed reports are that the truck’s brakes failed and the driver swerved into the sidewalk to avoid crashing into other vehicles. The truck ended up brushing the top of the Bearings and Accessories Limited building.
The incident resulted in a traffic pile-up, however, both the truck and the road have since been cleared.
No one was injured during the incident.
