WATCH: Mt Alvernia schools, Chetwood Memorial Primary continue centennial celebration

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Students, staff and other supporters of Mount Alvernia High, Chetwood Memorial Primary and Mount Alvernia Preparatory were out in their numbers early Monday to continue festivities marking the 100th anniversary of the institutions.

During this morning’s celebration, Cornwall College Cadet Corps hoisted the Mount Alvernia centennial flag while students and staff took to the streets in a spirited march to honour the school.

The celebrations began last Sunday with a special mass at the Roman Catholic Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and will continue throughout the week.
