Remembering You with Love: A Tribute to Carl Everet Miller
When we hear the sound of waves gently washing the salty beach of Parottee… And revel in the beauty of the wispy blue skies over our Black River…
We will remember you with LOVE!
When we trek across the aged wonder of the bridge by the wharf, reminiscent of the days when logwood was king… Or view the old-world charm of a place they call Waterloo where history was aptly recorded in the light bulb that still shines.
We will remember you with LOVE!
When the mouth-watering whiff of freshly-baked peg bread, from Sunrise Bakery, stirs the taste buds… And the buttery glory of Mass Kayna’s coco bread, with the real beef patty nestled between, ready to be washed down with fizzy orange soda or refreshing jelly coconut water.
We will remember you with LOVE!
And when the beauty of the sinking ship finally settles below the blue-green waves… With an artist’s dream of a bold orange-hued ball called the setting sun, as its backdrop…
We will remember you with LOVE!
Because, our beloved cousin… You served across the broad spectrum of humanity! You loved!… You shared! You lived!… You cared! Building your rich legacy of humility, authenticity, quiet ambition, kindness and genuine love for people.
How could we forget you? You, who when our father passed, enveloped us with kindness and so much love… Saying always! “It is my duty!”
So march on brave soldier! Legal mind of wit, wisdom, quality and class!
You batted well, like a “Master Blaster!”
Your sojourn on Planet Earth now done.
The victory is finally won!
Your soul will rest in perfect peace
As we remember you with LOVE!
